Only 15 months old, Dallas weighs 74 pounds and is leash-trained, but very strong and dominant. Only experienced dog owners for this muscle man.
Pets With Perks are pets specially sponsored by Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter volunteers. If you adopt a Pet With Perks, you go home with a goodie bag full of pet supplies and a certificate for free microchipping. All Pets With Perks have posters on their kennels to let people know they’re special.
Anyone can sponsor a shelter pet and help him or her get adopted.
Pets with Perks
Dallas needs an experienced handler who can instill the confidence he needs. He walks well on the leash and sits on command.
Bella is house trained, crate trained and leash trained, though she can be energetic on the walk.
All the commotion at the shelter has Peanut a little unnerved and jumpy, but once away from the noise, she becomes a whole different dog: happy, responsive and obedient.
Eight-year-old Sherman was surrendered for no fault of his own in July. His former family tells us that he is friendly and gets along well with kids and other cats.
Jacke has been at the shelter since June and would really like to be part of a family again.
Eve is a sweet, loving and friendly kitty. She is house trained and spayed, so we know she used to be someone's cat.
Rhiana is a friendly girl and enjoys attention, petting and cuddling. She was found in Riverside with a purple collar and misses having a loving home and family.
Diamond is a 3-year-old, 48-pound Staff mix sadly surrendered by her owners. She just wants to go home. Quiet, submissive, shy and calm, Diamond is easy-going and obedient.
Pup is housebroken and leash trained, although a little strong. She's also friendly, loving and pretty.
Sissy is an active, energetic 9-month-old Staff mix with a lot of puppy energy. She is alert and excitable, loves attention and going outside for her walks.
Clarence is an energetic, fun-loving guy with a beautiful shiny coat. He knows "sit" and "paw" and is proud to show off his tricks.
Chloe is house trained, leash trained and active. She loves the attention of people -- adults and children older than 15 years, but is not recommended for anyone with younger children.
Atlas is a friendly guy, but is not fond of cats and can't go to a home that has them.
Diamond is friendly, but very strong, so only families with older children will be considered. Diamond loves to run and play and needs lots of daily exercise.
Darla is friendly, outgoing, active and strong. She tends to pull on the leash, but is easily corrected and would benefit from some structure with an experienced dog owner.
Sequoia is a friendly, calm, sweet, and a little bit shy. He also likes to be petted.
Barry is a handsome 3- to 5-year-old who came to us as a stray from Pemberton Township. He is a sweet and affectionate boy who loves to sit on your lap and snuggle.
Candy gets along well with other cats so would do well as a second or third cat. She is a bit shy at first but quickly warms up and likes to be petted.
