2019 Barb Feldstein Memorial Raining Cats & Dogs Pet Fest is April 27 -- FREE fun for the whole family!

No matter how you define fun, the 2019 Barb Feldstein Memorial Raining Cats & Dogs Pet Fest on Saturday, April 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Burlington County Animal Shelter will have something to amuse, entertain and delight you and your family.

The event is hosted by the Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter and the Burlington County Animal Shelter.

Admission to the event is free for everyone. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are also welcome to attend.

Here are just some of the activities:

  • a chance to meet and take a photo with Bruiser the Special Cat
  • Burlington County K9 Search and Rescue demonstrations
  • police K9 demonstrations
  • obedience training demonstrations
  • dog trick and stunt show
  • people and pet contests
  • $7 adoption prices
  • basket raffles
  • pet and family portraits
  • Big Dog 50-50 drawings -- last year's Big Dog winner took home more than $9,000!
  • a Kids Zone for children featuring a moon bounce, temporary tattoos and bubbles, as well as beanbag toss, ring toss and basketball hoop shot games with prizes
  • a petting zoo at the House Paws booth
  • mouth-water food vendors
  • vendors with a variety of merchandise
  • dog wash
  • Burlington County Animal Alumni station with special gifts and photos for adopters and their pets
  • free dog sitting while you visit the shelter

Here is the schedule of events so far:

  • 11 a.m.-3 p.m.: Music from DJ Shawn
  • 11-11:15 a.m.: Burlington County K9 Search & Rescue demo
  • 11:15-11:30 a.m.: pet fashion show contest -- dress up your pet (and yourself, if you want!) and win a prize
  • 11:30-11:45 a.m.: Evesham Police K9 Moose visits
  • 11:45 a.m.-noon: Good Beasley canine tricks and stunts
  • noon-12:30 p.m.: basic obedience contest -- can your pet sit, shake, speak? You could win a prize!
  • 12:30-12:45 p.m.: Alpha and Omega Dog Training demo
  • 12:45-1 p.m.: Good Beasley canine tricks and stunts
  • 1-1:15 p.m.: canine peanut butter licking contest -- see which dog can lick peanut butter off a Frisbee the fastest!
  • 1:15-1:30 p.m.: Burlington County K9 Search and Rescue demo
  • 1:30-1:45 p.m.: Evesham Police K9 Moose visits
  • 1:45-2 p.m.: Good Beasley canine tricks and stunts
  • 2-2:15 p.m.: pet look-a-like contest -- do you look like your pet? You could win a prize!
  • 2:15-2:30 p.m.: Big Dog 50/50 drawing and basket raffle drawings
  • 2:35-3 p.m.: kids dance contest -- show off your moves and win a prize
