Help us feed community cat colonies

Our monthly cat food donor program provides caregivers dry and canned cat food. For $20 each month, your gift of cat food can help ensure community cats don’t go hungry. If you’d like to buy the food yourself and deliver to a caregiver, email friends.say.snip.it@gmail.com. We will provide you with a list of preferred dry and canned cat food. Thank you!

Save A Senior

Anyone can sponsor a senior pet through the Save A Senior program (pets aged 8+). You donate the adoption fee of $75 for a dog or $45 for a cat, which pays the adoption fee for an approved adopter. To sponsor a senior or for more information, email Alice at aliceparfitt4pets@gmail.com or call 732-598-2230.

Second Chances program: help injured/sick cats and dogs

Second chances are what we’ll provide injured/sick cats and dogs with your monthly gift designated to advanced medical care. Funds are used for animals who require medical care beyond the capabilities of the Burlington County Animal Shelter. Medical expenses are the Friends BCAS’ largest spending category every year. The shelter may take in a dog that is heartworm positive or a cat with a broken leg. Many animals end up at the shelter because their owners cannot afford medical care. Lil’ Bear the dog got his second chance, thanks to the generosity of our supporters.

Your support can ensure we’ll always have funds available for injured/sick cats and dogs. If you believe in second chances, make a monthly gift for advanced medical care.

Donation Matching

Many corporations have matching donation programs. Check with your human resources department to see if your company has such a program and how to enroll.

Planned Giving

Leaving a gift in your will/estate, also called planned giving, is another way you can support the Friends of BCAS. Planned gifts are one of the most effective ways to ensure that the Friends of BCAS can carry on its mission of saving lives for years to come. Moreover, supporting a local charity this way can make a huge impact in saving lives in your own backyard into the future. Planned giving can also provide you financial advantages and takes many forms. Read more…

WoofTrax dog walking app

The Walk for a Dog app, created by WoofTrax, allows people to raise money for animal groups, such as Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter, simply by walking a dog.

Here’s how it works: Download the app from the Apple App Store (for iPhones) or Google Play (for Android phones). Once the app is installed, select “Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter” as the organization you want to walk for. Each time you walk a dog, start the app. It tracks how far you walk. About four times a year, WoofTrax makes a donation to the groups selected by the walkers. The more walkers that pick Friends of BCAS, the more money we raise. For more information, visit: www.wooftrax.com. It’s an easy way to donate just by doing something you already do!

Shop through Chewy.com

We’re proud to be a member of the Chewy.com Rescue Referral Program, which allows people to donate to our group by shopping at Chewy.com.

Here’s how it works: For each new customer that makes a purchase at Chewy.com through the Friends of BCAS special referral page, our group gets donation points; each month, the points are converted into a cash donation. It’s an easy way to donate by buying food and other supplies for your pets. Please know this is for new customers only.
